The site published the 20 open source projects which, out of the 6 million that it hosts (of which 3.5 million people have worked on), received the greatest number of stars from the GitHub users.

Here is the list:

Rails is an open-source framework for developing web applications based on Ruby programming language.

D3.js is a cross-browser JavaScript library for presenting documents with dynamic and interactive graphics driven by data.

7. Impress.js
Impress.js is a CSS3-based presentation framework that allows you to convert HTML content into a slideshow presentation with stunning visualization and animation.

8. Font Awesome
Font Awesome is a suite of scalable vector icons that can be customized in size, color or drop shadow by using CSS. It is fully compatible with Bootstrap.

9. AngularJS

GitLab is self hosted Git project management software powered by Ruby on Rails, which allows you host code repositories on your own server.
