Crowdhoster.com: the Wordpress of crowdfunding?

The company Crowdtilt recently launched a free and ready to use crowdfunding platform, which presents itself as the "WordPress of crowdfunding" to stress its ease of use.

Crowdhoster is an open source application developed in Ruby language to create fundraising campaigns that are not associated with a brand.

The goal? Allow anyone to set up and operate a crowdfunding campaign without development skills via a simple to use administration interface. It is possible to customise the graphical and technical elements of the campaign site, including adding features and integrating third-party solutions. Furthermore, the platform offers a number of basic features, including the management of multiple campaigns in parallel, defining different levels of rewards, managing contributors...

The company Crowdtilt began by developing a platform for fundraising. They then developed an API to integrate the collective payment function, present in the platform, into any application. Crowdhoster is an open source application using the API Crowdtilt. It is based on the open source project Selfstarter.

For the moment Crowdhoster is invite only. In order to receive an invitation, you must fill out the form available on the home page.

The project Crowdhoster, hosted on GitHub, is still under development, new features are being studied, and Crowdtilt invites the open source community to participate.
