Alfresco version 4.2 was released at the beginning of November. Maven archetype, user interface... there are numerous changes in this new version.
On the technical side, it provides a Maven archetype, compatible with continuous integration processes, and new administration tools.
On the functional side, the user interface Share has been redesigned and improved.
There is also the possibility of building a work flow graphically without having to be a developer and the possibility of a hybrid work flow, meaning starting in Alfresco and continuing on cloud.
DAM functions are also enriched, including support for RAW files and video streaming.
Integration with Google Docs has also been improved.
Finally Alfresco 4.2 introduces a new version of the RM module (Records Management 2.1), which simplifies electronic achieving.
